The Irony is strong in carvan manufacturers!
Discussion
Sitting in the M5 holiday traffic jams yesterday I started looking at the names caravan makers give to the products they sell to weekend gypsies. They are either totally misguided or strongly ironic.
We saw - in order of increasing irony
The Reflection Mint
The Valencia
The Vogue GTS
The Buccaneer Corsair
The Swift
The Ralleye 650
The Cyclone
The Crusader Tornado
Hurricane GTS
And the ultimate irony
The Firestorm!
Personally the firestorm is what I would like to deliver to all of them

Buccaneer and Corsair are both another word for Pirate, so they called a caravan 'The Pirate Pirate'?We saw - in order of increasing irony

SO you were sat in a Traffic Jam, caused by sheer weight of traffic, and blaming the also stationary Caravans? Seems harsh.
The only time you will catch me holding traffic up, is if someone is holding me up. Even then the last time we came home I was told as I was passing an old chap in a Yaris that I could not overtake... I think you'll find that I can!
PS - ours is called a Sprite!

No I wasnt blaming the caravans on the motorway, that was just caused by everyone, on the narrow lanes of north devon though - that is another matter, we followed something along the lines of a "Pacific Luxury" down lanes that were far to narrow for it at 10mph for about 35 minutes! The only time you will catch me holding traffic up, is if someone is holding me up. There was also the usual summer season collection of overturned ones on the M5 near Droitwich
I think this thread is in the wrong place, but, seeing as its here, the thing with caravans and motorhomes is the speed they can travel is often limited by the laws of physics.
A lot of the problems are caused by cars unwilling to overtake them causing an extended chain which becomes to long for anyone to saftely overtake.
Unless your in a TVR Tuscan, then it should be no problem!

Ours is a Swift Conqueror
I was only thinking something similar this morning when sat next to a "whirlwind" at a set of lights.
You'd think the manufacturers would give them names reflecting luxury or comfort or travel, not speed and destructive nature
Anyone from a caravan manufacurer marketing dept post on here?
