This has been a long time coming so I'll start from the beginning, my first car was purchased in 2003 with 19k on the clocks like this..

Ended up looking like this..

Then finally like this in 2006 after I spun it on ice into a tree and broke it up!

After that I bought this from a mate, had it for a year and moved it on..

Realising I still liked Mk3's I wanted to start a slightly different project so in 2008 bought this (50k miles)..

I then installed the Zetec Turbo engine that I had purchased prior to buying the car..

I then did pretty much nothing to it for a couple of years, due to owning a few other cars in between! Over the last year or so, thigs have finally progressed to what it is today and the car was MOT'd at the weekend..

A couple of poor vids, one of the 2nd to first start and a short driving clip..

There are various things to sort out on the car, including removing 5 years worth of grime from the bodywork as since 2009 its basically sat and not gone anywhere (apart from a 200 mile round trip to have some bodywork done) and there are also a few bits and bobs to look at under the bonnet. The exhaust tailpipe will also be changed.

Predicted power output is 270bhp and 300lb/ft at 21psi, which is what it was running with the previous owner. Its currently running 10psi without the Amal valve connected while I iron out a few issues and probably have the car live mapped.

Thanks for reading, not really a very PH car but as Mark/Excursion's mega build went down well so I thought I'd see what peoples opinions were of a more low budget Mk3!

Looks great. Shame about crashing your original low-miler though.

What's the engine from originally?

I never really got over the white one, sounds sad really but I spent so much time and money on the car in my younger years and always got so much praise over how it looked for an 17/18 year old's first car! I actually got the car when I was 16 and had always planned to put a Zetec in, but never quite got there!

The donor engine is a Mondeo 2.0 Zetec, with Focus RS internals, Hybrid T3 turbo and other bits and bobs.

Like that! Mk3 Fiesta's seem to have disappeared rapidly in the last few years

I think that might surprise a few people somehow. I love it!

My 2nd car was a mk3 with the wonderful (not) 1.1 ohv lump. What engine was in your white one?

Very much so! When I had my first you could get parts everywhere! Now I'm lucky if I see a couple a month.

The White one was a 1.3 with PAS, I wanted PAS and the 1.1's don't have it so second time round I had to change the rack.

It's almost a shame it's got alloys, otherwise it would look very unsuspecting!

Always had a soft-spot for Fiestas since my mate had a 1.25 as his first car. Hilarious little thing.

The styling bits aren't to my taste, Max, but it's super clean example smile

Just the wheels then? Or the poverty styling in general?

It now has AeroCatch's on the bonnet and RS Accessory rear lights. The rear needs to come down 10mm and I may fit my RS Accessory top spiler. They always look a bit odd from the rear anyway without a full bumper.

The wheel colour, exhaust tip size, and black indicators create an image that doesn't do the car justice.

The spoiler will finish the rear end off, and a wiper would too if you can get one.

^ Agree,

Proper sleeper, if you took a few bits off. Get some steelies and wheel trims on!

I hate orange lights on red so thought they matched the rest of the black bits!

I thought about putting wheel trims on the alloys or buying steels but they are usually all a really high offset. These wheels only cost me £100 too.

The exhaust will be done at some point, again it's how it came and hasn't been a priority until it was running and on the road. I could cut it off tomorrow.

I've never felt the need to fit a rear wiper as it would never get used and I quite like the poverty look!

I should mention that the car is in need of mapping, I took it to Charlie at SRR to have a look at the fuelling and ended up with this..

Not sure why it is so bad, but it will be going back to where its been before (prior to my ownership of the engine) to be looked at.
