I am watching, right now, the Ruby bloody Wax special on the Gumball Rally. And it looks damn good - so far. Is it worth watching? I dont know when it was actually filmed tho, so you guys mightve seen it months ago. Are there any Tivs in it>?

Saw that ages ago on BBC 1. Don't you just want to punch Ruby Wax? Is it on sky or something? IIRC that was the second Gumball. That guy with the white 355 was a bit mental!

Yes Miss candle is an incomplete idiot (Some parts are missing!) This is on the (One of 3) national normal channels not sky. We are always behind the rest of the world in NZ. Just saw the silver 355 crash - holy shit! oorcar:. He'll just go buy a new one though.
And if i was lucky enough to go in the Gummy i woyuld wear a helmet!!!

check out :

http://216.40.225.59/~admin1/dtmpowervideos/mischief3000.mpg

This is from the 2002 event in the usa. Both files about 30mb but worth the download :-) Oh, and yes, there was a TVR in this one.

Anyone else got some good Gumball movies?

finished watching - weel that was pretty crap. just a bunch of rich boy racers really. this is exactly the sort of thing they (we) do but with far slower cars

Yeah just saw it in NZ, that was the second gumball (i think Gumball 2000?) and yeah, there was a TVR in it, a Tuscan (that was also in the Gumball 3000) if you look closely, u can see it smoke off from the start somewhere around the time she blasts off with Damon Hill in the Diablo.
The vids of the 3000 are great (if its the same ones ive seen) some kikass footage mainly taken from an E46M3BMW. Gotta love it when an Audi RS4 loses a wheel at 200km/h eh? :P

It did look fun.

But thank God there was no family saloon parked on the hardshoulder changing a tyre when the stream of Porkers decided to take the trucks on the inside...

I can afford a 996tt so, I must be rich.

I have done 195mph in the above car on a deristricted autobahn enroute to the Nurburgring for a thrash, so a must be a boy racer.

I take offence at those pricks on the gumball rally being referred to as rich boy racers.

They are a bunch of irresponsible w*nkers with no concept of other roadusers safety. I think Vic Reeves summed it up when he said he was embarrassed to be associated with it.

It's a shame there's no room for proper road racing any more.

Quite so. Or just appreciation of nice motors doing what most people like to see/do - flying like the wind - where conditions allow, naturally - as God intended!

Ian W.

Do you know the website for the European run?

Is anyone here going?

Might be tempted to take a week out and join in.
