Just got back from the Black Boy meet which had a fantastic turn out of cars which i guess was due to the wonderful September weather.

Difficult to be accurate of the number but 150 would't be far off with maybe 12 TVR spotted.

No pen and paper on me to give all confirmed spots but Orange cerb 4.5 stood out a mile with nice plate on it (Beautiful car) and blue cerb ph sticker on bonnet and Cimaera which may be Silconekid from the wheels. I was close by when you started up and left...All 3 leaving in convoy had quite a few heads turninglaugh Sounded better than a Beethoven symphony

Also blue Chimaera with tvr plate think *88, Mini for sale next to you. Spoke with father and son of the mini for awhile as they were standing with it and thought they were the owners.

Nice red V8s and a dark green S2-3? also a couple of other Chimaera, and 1 yellow griff with small np on front.

All these spots but did not see anyone near their cars to have a chat... Was i missing where all the TVR guys were? Or were you avoiding meweeping

Hello Rigga..
It was first time at that event and compleatly surprised me of how many cars. I was expecting maybe Fifty but three fields and a car park full leaving many having to park up the lanes.

If the information I was given was correct then that was the last one for this year. But apparently for our area there is a good meet at the Moathouse between Studley and Alcester. Not as big as the Black boy but some very nice classic car are showing. The next one at Moathouse is 29th September 11.30 till 3pm but I can not make this one as I am doing the TITT London 28th and will be staying down in London after Brands.

I have all the dates running till the 23rd March for the Moathouse if your interested which are all last Sunday of the month 11.30-3pm apart from a Boxing day special on a Thursday.

Finally the Black Boy meet I personally would only consider going to again as long as the ground is dry as it's park on fields.

Good meet, the 3 at the top was me esso and Jon. Think they should remove the speed hump on the way out so we could have more fun.

But I/we could hear you for quite awhile when you got on the road biggrin (lovely)

When the ones who were trying to give it some from hump to hump a few groans of Oh grow up were bellowed from some.

So your Chimaera not Siliconkid? Have you got Cherry Bomb fitted. Sounded very nice and different to my sound, but when leaving the field by the gate many standing around I could hear ummm that sounds nice about mine cloud9

The blue Cerb was mine. This was a good meet,i`m not personally into parking it in a field and kicking tyres,i would much rather be driving it which is what TVR`s are made for and is what Mad John(orange Cerb),Captain Slow(dog st brown Chim),myself and a few others do on a regular basis. To the moaning old gits who think leaving exhuberantly is not the done thing....go and sit in your your car with your flask and tartan rug and be miserable........

Hi esso.... Can i just point out it was't myself or the guys in my company (Ferrari 308,corvette,Bently) that made the commentssmile Not sure even what cars they were standing by,but it could be heard was all i was saying just in case you misread my post.

They banned the meet at Becketts Farm though because it was getting out of hand. Cosworths RS's Scooby's and the like doing donuts etc pretty close to parked cars.

I know for a fact if someone got it all wrong and hit my car while showboating i would't be smiling and neither would he.

As you said it was a great meet and for me your 3 leaving was my highlight of the night bow( The E type was pretty close) my favorite classic cloud9

That`s fine...smile.....obviously no-one wants to see any unsavoury incidents and it was a great shame that Becketts Farm was spoilt for so many by so few,i hear that Ashby Folville has suffered the same fate.I believe the Black Boy meets will continue on a Sunday lunchtime during the winter months..a flyer was being handed outthumbup

Seems you were right on this one! I had no idea about it at all.Had this from their website.

IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding ASHBY FOLVILLE CAR AND BIKE NIGHT It is with much regret that we have to inform you that the Ashby Folville Car and Bike Nights which are held on the second Tuesday of the month will be ceasing with immediate effect. This year has proven extremely difficult for the organisers because of the high volume of traffic and, more importantly, the anti-social behaviour of a minority of people attending the event. The Leicester Constabulary have now informed the Trustees of the Ashby Folville Estate that they wish for the event to cease forthwith. As responsible people, the car night organisers and the Trustees of the Ashby Folville Estate will respect the Police’s concerns and, accordingly there will be no Car and Bike Nights in September or in the future. Unfortunately, a minority of people have ruined the enjoyment for the majority. The organisers of the Car and Bike Nights and the Trustees of the Ashby Folville Estate would like to thank the majority of you who have responsibly supported the event over many years. They hope that you can sympathise with the position which they have regrettably now found themselves in.

Regards

Simon

Thanks for my first ever spot on PH. The Red V8S is mine. First time at this event and surprised at how many were there.

Most of us TVR owners were stood next to the entry road fence behind the Mini that was up for sale chatting.

Hello Bob

It was a nice spot for me being a previous V8s owner, parted with it end of October 2002.

I must of been pretty much looking at you as i was standing by the blue Chimaera TVR plate chatting for 30 mins. You drove right past me(Sounded lovely) when you arrived as i was talking with someone who was looking at my Starmist blue Chimaera parked up along the fence next to Bright green RS rolleyes

Very nice example of a V8s you have, much smarter interior than mine,my seats were in need of refurbishing. (Had a good look hope you don't mind) byebye
