Do you think these are better than eBay?
I'd say so - eBay fees can really take the shine off a sale.SVS said:
And what about TZ UK?
If already an established member, then certainly. Joining just to sell - forget it. This would be my recommendation

Not necessarily better, but alternatives. Some use eBay as a window and deal directly, thereby saving the 10% final fee.And what about TZ UK?
As for TZ – 6 months membership required as well as 250 posts, before you can put listings in Sales Corner, so that newcomers don't use it as a surrogate eBay.
At least on the watch forums like Andy and I have suggested, the OP has a genuine audience, and can list as soon as he registers.
Members will be wary, but if he has some sort of proof that he's an honourable chap, etc, then enquiring individuals will be more agreeable to making a deal.
Chrono24 charges too, but it's less than eBay and capped at €49 max, paid upfront – no final fees or suchlike, and based only on the item. Postage costs would be discussed separately between the two parties.

i recently sold my 16710 for £3900 and the fee was £75. in the end the seller and i dealt direct and i refunded him half the fee as an incentive.
Seems they've changed since the last time I looked – ceiling limit of £75, which is a damn sight more reasonable.Edited by PJ S on Saturday 21st September 20:56

Ok it's not much of a collection, ie 3 high end watches but I want to raise some money for a new car and the watch collection has to go.
So where is the best place to sell? I'm trying to avoid the mongs that eBay/gumtree attracts.
Thanks for any replies
I tried emailing you through your profile but it won't let me. I am looking for an IWC if you want to email the details of it please. So where is the best place to sell? I'm trying to avoid the mongs that eBay/gumtree attracts.

You could also try your luck with independent watch specialists / resellers who might be interested in buying in stock to sell in their windows. You never know - they might be feeling generous and offer you a good price. Sometimes worth taking a little hit just to avoid the hassle of dealing with the general public
