I dont want to take my original thread off topic should it be of use to someone at a later date:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

But I put the deposit down on the below today:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

I secured it for 22.5k and a years road tax. I think I have a reasonable deal for a S with good spec. The mileage is a few thousand more than I'd like but the warranty should limit my exposure if something big goes bang. It will be a fun car and sparred of long journeys so hopefully when I come to sell other similar aged cars will have closed the gap on the mileage front and brought mine back into the pack.

I'm unsure as to the purpose of this post other than keeping any element of buyer remorse at bay. No turning back now, right?

Seems a lot of car for the money. Very very nice in black. When I bought my first 2001 Boxster S I chopped it in against a new Boxster 550 S In 2004 and OPC gave me £30k for my old car with similar mileage to yours. Congrats

When I first read the above I mistakenly read "seems like a lot of money for the car". My heart skipped a beat or two.

That's really nice, I always like cream interiors but have always buy black as it seems safer, nice one.
Though strangely had no issues buying a range rover with cream leather, one day I might go for it with a Porsche .

Nice motor mate, a very sweet drive. Get some sort of louder exhaust, it should be compulsory on Porsches.

Links dead now. Any pics?

I've got a black 2009 Boxster S too - although likely to go up for sale soon as buying my first house.

Would be interested to hear what spec / condition / mileage yours was?

It has been taken off the internet now but hopefully this screen shot works.

Interestingly by local OPC (Wilmslow) have just put a near identical car up for 29k+. Only differences: PDK, Sat Nav, Dark Leather. I didn't want a PDK and I have a Sat Nav that is significantly better than the integrated Porsche offering. I also have 6k+ saving.

While I remember, I purchased from Bournemouth OPC. I've no complaints so far with the experience. They had 3 Boxsters on the lot within 1k of each other which I think incentivised them to sell.

48hrs on and I have no buyers remorse, just an excitement to collect it next week.

That looks a nice car and a decent price for an OPC car, although if you think that mileage is high for a 2009.... Mine is over double that!

Mine is a similar spec but doesn't have heated seats, multifunction wheel or xenons. Has cruise, Nav and DVD changer though. Certainly jealous of the heated seats!

They are brilliant cars, make sure you take it round Alpine Europe if you get the chance.

T-24hrs until I collect the car and embark on a late night 200m journey from Bournemouth to Cheshire. Mmmmm, quiet motorways. The excitment is building...
