I'd speak to Surface and Design, Brendan (think his company is Concept Performance?), and maybe Adrian at Central TVR and also Rick at Salford Service Centre.

I didn't realise it until I had to choose my respray colours but there are various different options for Spectraflair. The original TVR spec stuff seems to be mixed into the paint, but with a higher percentage than some off the shelf stuff. Then there are a couple of options for having a plain basecoat and a Spectraflair coat on top, and the number of layers affects the amount of colour change, but the more layers, the more silvery the paint becomes. Also Spectraflair Lite... much cheaper but not as strong an effect (I went for this one)

Hope the others don't mind me posting pics of their cars but these two stand out a mile as being awesome examples!

I think Don's was called Spectraflair Black, but seems slightly grey/brown under dull light (I actually prefer this one and in the flesh it is absolutely stunning)

The Magpie's Tuscan, sprayed by Rick at Salford service centre and I believe it uses Spectraflair Lite, although the effect is much stronger than what I have achieved with 3 coats so i'm convinced this is the full price stuff!

Looks a fair way off spectra flair. Think if I was going that route I'd go for the genuine article.

I've got some wheels sprayed up in spectracoat, its identical in finish to that of tvr's. depends what base coat you go for. I went for a standard silver and the spectracoat is like a laceer that goes on the top. I tried 1,2,3,4 coat trials and 3-4 are the same. looks stunning!

Crimbo, how long have they been done for now? I've heard sometimes the cheaper stuff can fade after a while?

Hi crimbo, getting mine done this week in Spectraflare. Can you specifically advise the products they used including Lacca please. Plus have you got any other pics with your car sidewise. My car is in Azzuro Novola which is Sky blue to Gold/ Silver. I think it will ellevate the wheels personaly with my new Goodyear F1 eagles replacing the Tojo's. Happy days!!

I once inquired late last year before buying a Spectraflare silver T350. The general consensus is the paint is very expensive. Happy to send you a quote I received from a well respected paint shop in Berkshire.
