RE: Lamborghini 'Ad Personam' updated
Wednesday 26th February 2014
Alongside the global debut of the Huracan, Lamborghini will use the Geneva show to launch its renewed 'Ad Personam' range of customisation options. It was already available on the Aventador, but will now include more features and soon be extended to the Gallardo replacement as well.
Lamborghini 'Ad Personam' updated
Lambo just not distinctive enough? Fear not, there's even more factory personalisation now
The Aventador Roadster used to promote Ad Personam is probably quite subtle as one-off Lamborghinis go, but does hint at that myriad of possibilities. Spotted the 'Forged Composite' front spoiler insert? And more of it on top of the dials? The mirrors are matt silver instead of black and the paint is 'Blue Sideris'. Check out the colour-coded wheels too...
Clearly the potential is there to create a totally unique (and probably ludicrously expensive) Lamborghini then. And if all the extras on offer are a little confusing, Lamborghini will have an 'Ad Personam Studio' at Geneva where customers 'are assisted in the process of creating their very own, made-to-order Lamborghini'. Presumably this will only be offered to the appropriate 'qualified prospects' as preferred customers are so lovingly referred to.

A fully blinged Lambo for the footballing fraternity bored of Bentleys?
If anything it's the step up into the bored super-rich folks that buy this kind of crap. Something to distinguish your Aventador at the club amongst all the others. See McLaren Special Orders and Ferrari Atelier for equivalents too.I think we're forgetting that Lambos have ALWAYS been the choice of the brash 'new rich' tasteless idiot - that they should pander to such people is hardly a surprise?
Don't get me wrong, they have their moments but even the Miura came in lurid green (back in the days that making green paint had significant toxicity issues!!)
A Google Image Search for 'lamborghini' earlier today - it's like a Demon Tweeks catalogue from the 90s...

The original Gallardo looked 'one piece' and I really hope the Gallardo follow up to be a design statement.
Monday I saw 2 of these new Aventador kits and they do not appeal to me . . . although it looks thoroughly well done and designed there's way too much going on.
The 6 litre Diablo or Murci . . .
. . . is just the cleaner car to me.
But then I'm from the Countach era . . .

Tasteless to you that is. Maybe because peasants like you and I cannot do this we get jealous and say they have no taste, when they laugh after people like yourself who has to have bog standard crap, and wear and have everything like everyone, else when they plain and simple get it tailor made.
