Is there somewhere online to check a factory spec of an audi using a VIN?

I know there's a BMW equivalent

Not sure about with a VIN, but there is with the build sticker that can be found in the spare wheel well or the front of the service book.

No but for private buyers/owners Audi customer service can do this over the phone for you.

EDIT: Or I don't mind doing the occasional one for PHers (as long as it isn't on the hurry up).

you can also register your car on myaudi.com , put in the VIN number and you'll get all the details for the car.

Feedback
Its a bit different info on each car
Ie on one it showed a pic of alloy type and the other it had no option of pic of model of alloy just size

Whilst BMW version has the details such as alloy wheel option

Never the less still a good reference point

Cheeky loophole to get the VIN from a registration number:
- Go here https://www.audiextendedwarranty.co.uk
- Click Online Registration
- Enter reg number
- Click Find My Audi
- Vehicle description, Model and VIN appears on screen (don't proceed any further at this point)

Seems to work for other manufacturers too wink

Any quattro GMBH/Audi exclusive parts won't show; same problem even on ETOS. Audi have a dealer only portal for access to these bits.

Would audi be able say what the original cost was too?

But not for my SEAT frown

edit to add or previous SEAT either. These registrations didn't work on the blackcircles website either when I was looking for tyres either. I wonder if it's something to do with how the car had been registered? They were both ex management vehicles.

Here's the Audi VIN decoder. It shows factory options and extended tech info.
