Tuscan S purchased
Discussion
Well after a chat with Tony at HHC last Saturday he mentioned he was getting a Tuscan 2 S in I thought I better go and have a look.
30 mins later I placed a deposit on it.
Very knowledgeable guy and a pleasure to do a deal with him.
Car has been known to him since the previous owner bought it 5 years ago.
First Tuscan S I have seen and according to howmanyleft there are only 70 or so left!
Chuffed is an understatement.

Looks identical inside and out to my old one (but mine was an 05). Absolutely gorgeous, bet you can't stop looking at it.
Good luck, they're great cars you're going to really enjoy it. Remember that accelerator pedal goes a loooong way down, takes a bit of getting used to, be careful. As did getting the roof in the boot, OK once you've got the knack.
And be sure to get an Optimate or similar to keep the battery tip top. Every niggle I had (windows!) could be traced back to the battery and it's very hard to get to behind the wheel. Otherwise I had no problems at all, very reliable car (follow warm up procedures).
Ah, happy days. Very jealous.

Well done! I'm another who bought a Tuscan 2S from Tony and HHC. Great team to deal with and I've been in contact with Tony on the odd occasion since buying mine and he's been very helpful, especially with insurance valuations etc. Well worth the (twice) 500 mile round trip! I remember when I picked it up, I left London at midday, and the M1 was screwed. Tony stayed late on a Friday night and was still there when I finally rocked up after 8pm. No rushing through the handover and still took the time to show me over everything and answer the last minute questions, so you're in good hands with HHC!
Did you take it for a drive? If so, how did it feel compared to your expectations?
Also, is the top of the pod (behind the steering wheel) white, or is it just the camera? Looks a bit odd in the photo so i'd get that changed to black as they can tend to reflect off the windscreen if they're too light a colour.
Get some more pics up when it's in your hands, and what's this 3000 mile trip.. that's a perfect way to get settled into ownership, i'm jealous!
Hi again,
just thought I'd have a look on HHC to see what price it was advertised for...wow, only £27k for a low mileage Tuscan 2S at a top dealers. That's what I sold mine for privately 2 years ago (dealers much more) and I thought prices had shot up since then. So looks like you've got a real bargain as well as a fabulous car. The gap to the Sagaris prices at HHC is now huge. I don't get it. The 2S is also a VERY fast car.
I notice it says Full 'S' specification... including 'big' brakes, Air conditioning, Fully carpeted boot, Gas discharge main beam lights, 'big-bore' exhaust system, etc.
AIUI there were a lot of S options but not all were fitted on all cars (and to the layman it's often hard to tell). Others will know more but certainly a close ratio gearbox and I think Hydratrak were S options that aren't explicitly mentioned on the HHC list. I think it would be worth clarifying with Tony. I got asked when selling mine and couldn't say definitely so it will be useful to know.
Oh and those headlights are amazingly good, like football floodlights. Enjoy.

Thanks, I am not planning on getting it until end of April.
Getting a front end re spray to tidy it up.
It is a jan 05 car and the one that was used by tvr at the 2004 motorshow.
I do hope it proves to be reliable ish as it's first run will be 2/3000 miles in 2 week ! Eeeek

If you want to meet up with a few like-minded folk, the TVRCC North Cumbria Region meet is last Wednesday of each month at the Castle Inn, Bassenthwaite.
Got a few runs planned once the weather gets a bit better...

Congratulations, I'm still waiting to purchase/find the right one for me.
I justified the cost by saying life is short, if you can enjoy the money without watching it in the bank, while it may also still appreciate, go for it.

And exactly. It's not exciting popping back online to see a number in your bank.
