does anyone know if it is possible to have front bilsteins refurbed from metric chassis car.
slight oil leak from top of damper unit. would prefer to refurb if possible rather than buy complete new units.

depends on prices

many thanks

Yes, in fact my Bilstein dampers are being refurbed right now. Just remove them from the car (I'd recommend doing both sides, not just one) and send them back to Bilstein in Leicester. The cost is £80+VAT per damper for them to completely replace the innards and rebalance them on the dyno and the turn round time is around 10 days. The address is:

Indeed, I looked at Nitrons, getting new Bilsteins and a whole lot more besides, but after speaking to David (and adding up the costs laugh ) I decided to go with a refurb as they replace all the internal parts so they're effectively new anyway. If your springs are looking a bit manky, you can ask them to repowdercoat them at the same time.
