Hi , all my brake light switch has died (hydraulic type off t piece ), my ultima is a 2007 build , anyone know for sure what thread it is its spade terminal , im guessing m 10 x 1 but is it tapered or parallel , cheers for any Ideas

It should be metric parallel with a copper washer to seal it.

Cheers for reply . Yes spot on . Got one from car build solutions . I wanted one before I take the old one out . So I can do it in one hit and not have to bleed brakes

You will be very lucky if your brakes don't need bleeding after the change of switch. I would do a quick bleed for peace of mind. You don't want to have a "funny" pedal and no brakes on the rear when you most need them...

Hi , done it many times before , I get my wife sitting in car , and just as I release (last 1/2 turn of thread ) with rag covering t piece , she gently pushes brake peddle down as I remove old sender and with new one at hand as she reaches the floor I insert new sender and tighten into place she then releases peddal ,a little bit messy ? yes , but nothing a water hose at hand won't wash away , minimal topping up required , and no bleeding required , and obviously Ill check peddal feel ( to see if it pumps up etc ) after

Erm - I thought all the unions (excluding the ones to the calipers) were 3/8 UNF...
