This LM002 looks super clean but the price is also super high.

From article:
This 1989 Lamborghini LM002 is said to be all-original, well-kept, and in perfect working order. The 18,708 kilometers showing on its odometer translate to 11,625 and are said to be accurate, and while the seller quotes only 301 ever made other sources estimate 330-ish were built between 1986 and 1993. This one looks as nice as promised by its low usage, itself probably a result of the truck’s 5 MPG thirst. For sale at The Gallery Brummen in Brummen, Netherlands for 132,950 euros (~$181,051 today).

never wanted one, but they do look amazing. I can image the market for these is tiny and the prices have not moved much over the last two years. Getting them serviced isn't simple and the parts costs are huge. Tyres are however now more freely available at about £500 a corner.

Wasn't one of these featured by PH during the last couple of years for £40k. Wow!

I would love one of those, don't care about 5Mpg, it would be so worth it!

Might have to be a little careful trying to park it anywhere though!!

There was one for sale a few years ago that had a Mercedes engine in it, that might've been a bit more practical.

Kind of misses the point. It's all about the engine

Octane magazine last year did a piece about a full restoration for somebody in the UK. Amazing work and photographs, but a dog to dive and yes I doubt many do more than 800 miles a year even if based in Qatar.

I believe the tyre availability issue has now been solved.

It probably does. The earlier "cars" had Countach engines, the later ones Diablo engines.

Awesome things - there is me that tools around San Francisco which I tend to see/hear whenever I am there.

Completely and utterly pointless unless you live in a desert though

Wasn't there a 7.2 litre powerboat engine option? So probably a fuel efficient diesel smile

There was a dry sump 8 litre engine produced for powerboat racing but this was too complex to be used in the LM002.The 8-Liter engine, a 60-degree V-12 boasting 7973.89cc and a bore/stroke of 97.5x89 mm could produce 720 Bhp at 6000 rpm with its fuel injection system, but it weighed in at 360 Kg.

Wiki states

Engine 5167 cc V12 or 7.2 L L804 marine V12

Never heard of the Diablo engine being used, there again never seen one for sale with the powerboat engine and I don't claim to be an expert
