Second Audi in a row, lets hope this one lasts a bit longer!

Back in December I bought a lovely black 2001 Audi A8 2.8 Quattro Sport, A car I was unsure about to start off with but grew to love.
This is it:
Unfortunately, not long after I filled the tank to the brim last month, this happened:
I got t-boned by a transit and the car was a total loss...
I thought i'd take this as an opportunity to get something a bit different to what I normally get (big loud luxury saloons/coupes) and go down the wagon path. I'd been looking at A6's but I only wanted a well spec'd one (leather, bose, cruise, auto, diesel etc...) and they seemed to be few and far between. Then I started thinking about Allroads - I know they have many documented issues but i've always been a fan of the design and the fact they all came with a lot as standard.
So, the hunt for an Allroad began - then two days before my settlement came in I popped into my lovely rental Mercedes and drove down to Northampton with a small deposit's worth of cash in my pocket.
I ended up with a 2001 2.5TDi Allroad with full green leather, bose, cruise, auto, iPod, and a load of other factory extras.
So far it's been a bit of a rollercoaster relationship with a failing air suspension compressor and leaking air strut, but once i'd ironed out the niggles, it's actually a really good car with a lot of pull from that V6 diesel lump!
I'm driving down to Goodwood tomorrow and that will be my first long drive in it since I picked it up so it will be good to see how it handles the long motorway cruise!
Here it is:
(how it sat when the compressor failed and the bag split)
And then once i'd replaced the piston ring on the compressor!
It's a bit rough around the edges, but it ticks all the boxes for now and i'm quite enjoying the odd bit of greenlaning in it!
