We are off on holiday soon with some long travels thrown in, as a result we are looking for some good seasons that are out now to watch on the flights.

So far we have watched & loved....

The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
Dexter
First couple of 24 (then it got repetitive)
Under the Dome
Flash Forward
American Horror

We do like our horror/sci-fi/action, so can anyone recommend anything?

Cheers smile

Battlestar Galactica
True Blood
Carnivàle (though this was cut short and thus, is ultimately disappointing)
Penny Dreadful

All of the above are high quality serial dramas. I tend to prefer those over the normal 22 episode a season procedurals that are stand alone episode style.

If you don't mind subtitles try Spiral (Engrenages) oddly from the BBC one of the best crime dramas I have ever seen am currently half way through season 3.

Fringe is worth a watch for Sci-Fi if you haven't already seen it.
Re-volution - for more Sci-Fi.(ongoing)
Falling Skies for aliens (ongoing)
Continuum for more Sci-Fi.(ongoing)

If you do chose BSG, watch the mini-series first.

Also, do you like old English stuff?

Person of Interest - gets darker and more sci-fi in the 2nd and 3rd seasons

The Blacklist

Only one episode of The Strain shown so far but will be worth watching...

Person of Interest has gone from being extremely good to epic - 4th season starts in September and is a change of direction.
Johnathan Nolan created, JJ Arams produces and people like Patrick Harbinson (Lewis) write it.
USA series but feels very understated and British - I'm not in to TV anymore but it's the best thing I've seen in the last ten years.
