I heard v12 Mhj aventador the other day and it sounded amazing! Anyone know what exhaust system was used?

Do you think the sports exhaust software is good enough upgrade from Lambo? I'm getting an aventador next month so thinking what to do

It's a decat capristo.

Software is better but not that loud compared to changing the system, you really need to do decat if you want it loud, just muffler is quite a bit louder but still not that loud.

As above, decat and flames are the way forward for a hooligan Avvy.

Will any of the above mess around with the warranty?

And will insurance become invalid due to the modification, unless they have been told?

Try the sports exhaust and software update from the factory. One you can turn it off. Sounds crazy, but on a long run, it just gets too intrusive. You don't have to sign a disclaimer anymore, as it's now fully homologated. Noise is awesome, lots of popping and crackling, with a bass woofle to boot!

Also, if you get a roadster, you'll pipe the noise straight into the cab.

Oh, and it is a flame thrower........

Just sayin'........ smile

Tubi exhausts always sound good. In fact, the nicest sounding carvo have ever heard was a F50 for a straight through tubi. Wow. One of my clients has the software update etc on his aventador and while it sounds awesome, it sounds tame to his super trofeo. Just go on YouTube and see what you like the sound of the most.

The only exhaust we have tested that gives power on the aventador is the oakley design system.

I was going to suggest that, but wasn't sure what they used. Though, the best one I've seen is yours Jason.

Thanks

Tubi is good but still not a strong enough sound

I'm going for more sound then performance - And Oakley is double the price then the above mentioned and gives similar noise

I had an Oakley on mine. It is titanium so weighs next to nothing and great sound. Oakley did a superb job of fitting and never got warning lights etc.

I think some people would really be concerned about the aventador exhaust. I am now aware of 2 blown motors due to the engine running lean after the fitment of some Chinese exhaust brand. these cars need the exhaust matched to the engine, nothing less will do. Especially on an £85,000 block.

I'd be interested to know when the engines gave up the ghost , was it while being driven hard or while they were having the nuts revved of them in central London looking like a flame thrower? Chances are the latter I'm guessing!

One in Singapore, one in Abu Dhabi.
can I ask, what pleasure do you get from making such a comment ?

So that's where but not what I asked. I take no pleasure in the comment just a vested interest as to whether the engines are fragile or being abused.

I think the engines tend to be very reliable. Audi rarely make anything that isn't.
I personally know the car in Singapore and that was being driven hard(ish) but he was told 13.7:1 was bad beforehand.

Given the amount of videos circulating recently on youtube of Aventadors being bounced of the limiter whilst stationary for the benefit of kids with cameras, I think that's a fairly valid question
Not many engines are developed to take that type of abuse
It'd be interesting to see how L-uk handle a potential warranty claim if the ECU shows that type of abuse backed up with various youtube videos ?
