10.4 @ 135.

I wasn't quite expecting it to be THAT quick.

Update: Added similar test for Aventador:

http://media.caranddriver.com/files/2012-lamborghi...

Here's the Aventador in 2012 tested the same way by C&D. The pertinent stats:
0-60 in 3.0
0-100 in 6.4
Quarter mile - 10.9 @ 133 mph.

That does surprise me as drove one for 18 laps at Goodwood and whilst it felt quicker than the Avantador it did not feel as fast as those numbers suggest it is... maybe they had a "really good" one to test...

Lovely car btw.

Those figures seem questionable, as they're quicker than a 458, 650S and McLaren F1, and more or less on par with a P1.

Assuming these numbers are correct (though C&D is pretty respectable), then I'd imagine the way it gets the quarter mile number is just through a great launch. I'd think from a roll at pretty much any speed it'd give up some acceleration numbers to the Aventador and such.

I hope those numbers are right, but I understand (and have some of my own) skepticism.

They do look (from the front) and sound (from the back) like a baby Aventador. Not a huge surprise to see it go that fast.

Just a shame about the awful rear-end redcard

Don't all manufacturers send 'really good' ones to all the magazines?!

Is that really true, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds for the new Huracan???? That's amazing if it is!!!

That is what I think... It was really quick, however did not feel so much quicker than a 458 / F12 / 599 as these number suggest, even when launching from a 0 - c120mph.

It was a great car, however sounding old I would be interested in one if they were a little more practical...

A GTR can do that...it's the 0-100 time I struggle to believe!
For the power/weight is is an amzing time. Still one second behind the 2wd P1 though.

Looks to be down to the 4*4 traction at lower speeds and a very close ratio fast shifting gearbox - the car can't even do 100mph in 3rd.

Right an Italian lambo press car, probably with around 800bhp.

My guess is that when rolling you are at low revs whereas with 0-60 you are using launch control and something like 7000rpm and dumping the clutch.

This. Pretty much the case with all new performance cars.

Those numbers even allowing for a 1 foot rollout are pretty amazing given per the article the car was run on the standard Pzero tyre. Only being 0.3s off the 918 on Cup2s and way more torque/power is slightly hard to believe.

The US mags tend to test with only the driver aboard and with minimal fuel in the tank, as opposed to the UK mags which test two up and with at least 1/2 tank of fuel IIRC. This partly accounts for why they always produce better 0-60 test times.

An incredible set of acceleration figures and embarrassingly (for Lamborghini) much quicker than their halo model Aventador.

Even the 1.9 second 30 -50mph time in top is amazing, that's a gear that'll pull 200+mph.......

And for those who suggest that the test cars are 'optimised' there's not that much you can do a normally aspirated 5.2 litre engine that pushes out 115bhp per litre to make it faster.
