We're not talking about a criminal genius here are we.

Drives along in what was at the time the Worlds most talked about desireable car and is surprised to be filmed when every Tom, Dick and Harry has got a video camera in their pocket now.

Could have at least waiting until dark to make it less obvious too.

Idiot

Presumably his friend who loaned the $1M will never see that again either!

0% intrest $1000000 loan. Makes you wonder if they were in any way aware of the guys intentions....

If one of my friends wanted to borrow $1m I'd want to know how he planned on paying it back. So I think it would be sensible to assume the guy loaning him the money was in on it, almost certainly for a cut of the proceeds too. As if he was just going to drive the Bugatti around and have it depreciate he wouldn't have been able to pay it back...

How did he not see another vehicle alongside him?

If that were me I'd be having a good scope around before taking the plunge (so to speak...).

In the United States, mail and wire fraud is any fraudulent scheme to intentionally deprive another of property or honest services via mail or wire communication. It has been a federal crime in the United States since 1872.

I'd personally be more worried about drowning and not being able to get out of the car
