I am thinking of selling my R36, but am struggling to find a single one for sale to get an idea of price.

So, if anyone in the know can give me an idea, here is the spec.

Its a Black, Estate on an 09 plate full Vw service history.
60k miles and has all the optional extras including electric sunroof, mp3, satnav, 6 cd stack.

Just looking for a range really.

Many Thanks
Andy

That Passat really looks like nothing at all. I'd not notice it from the hoards of other lesser powered variants. I really like it, not 10 grands worth of like but it does have that real Q car flavour about it.

I'd imagine thee potential buyers will be very thin on the ground. 'We' might like the idea of a fast, Powerful estate but 'them' would consider such a thing to be avoided when they've been told by manufacturers and the government that diesel is the way to go. Also there's the 'fast estate=Audi or Mercedes' thoughts you need to fight against.

Have you tried WBAC? what did they offer?

Or you might be knocking £2k off because nobody wants one? Kind of dependant on the market as to which way that will go.

Can't help with a value but there's a thread in the VW Audi section where a member called Hoddo is looking for an R36.

We've sold one, privately, within the past month.

09, CC shape, not estate, DSG, Dynaudio, sunroof, all the toys, 66k miles, full VW SH.

There were a very few saloons for sale from dealers, but we undercut them, needing a sale before a new car arrived.

No interest at all from a PH ad, some loonies and two genuine calls from AT.

Went for £8900. Lots of car for the cash!

I'd imagine an estate to be a tad more - say £10.5, take £10? (this is based on no expertise whatsoever, but you did ask...)

Hope this helps, good luck!

That helps loads.

One of my friends offered me £10k, which I thought was a little short, but maybe he is on the money.

£10k sounds right to me - quite a bargain mind you.

It averages around 25-30mpg when you behave yourself. The auto 6 speed DSG, does help things a bit, but stick it in sport and put your foot down results in 6mpg according to the computer.

I had a diesel e-class before and one day got badly stuck in the snow, so I wanted a 4 wheel drive car and it hasn't disappointed in any way. But I am probably buying a new C Class Merc, so wont need the R36 anymore. (Just have to hope we don't get any snow).

Probably about £10.5k private sale a trader would advertised it around £12k, £10k for hassle free sale to your mate would be a good option, other wise advertise it on autotrader. I find PH a waist of time . I'd be tempted to ask for a little more seeing as there rare, not like there's much choice out there after all

These perceived big engines aren't all that bad really, 3.6 V6 4wd 300bhp dsg gets it to 60 in under 6seconds ,as you've said 25-30mpg around town iv seen 35mpg on a run. ( £60 roughly 300 miles mixed driving)

Iv got the CC variant as it's a little faster shoot

Iv also been thinking about values/selling as iv got a big 4x4 itch needs scratching .........hmmm Toureg

It's is an R36 but it's not an R36 if that makes any sense,

It'll be insured as a R36, same engine running gear etc in a slightly lighter package
