First post, I'm looking for place to park my car on an evening out in London, - not overnight or long term. Looking for car parks that are accessible with a very low car and that are relatively secure ie off street. Mayfair and Covent Garden areas in the main. Any advice much appreciated.

Buckingham Palace.

Blokes with guns there, safest bet.

If you aren't parking overnight then anywhere in Mayfair will be fine. Parking in Covent garden area can be tricky.

Can I ask what car it is? There is plenty of exotica in and around the Mayfair area so I wouldn't worry.

There's a car park on park lane and a couple near Harrods but you are as likely to get a ding in your door.

Car is McLaren 12C. I have always parked my non exotica in off street parking, NCP etc. my main concern is ramps in and out of cars parks due to the height of the front of car. Not worried about tight spaces, I'm fine with those. Just want to have a backstop if there is no on street parking available when I get up there. Cheers.

For on street near Covent garden I would look holborn/kingsway side rather than west end side.

The NCP just off George Street isn't too steep and plenty of exotica in there. Same for Bourdon Street but there's tons of construction work going on there at the moment.

Our clients park their cars on the streets in Mayfair and will all due respect their Mac's are run of the mill. You will be safe in Mayfair on a pay by phone bay (free after 6:30pm) but if you really want a good parking space, either the NCP Bourdon Street, or drive to the Grosvenor Hotel, tell them your a reg visitor and they will park it all night for £25 in their secure valet parking. Have fun in town whatever you do smile

I would just leave it on the street, it should be fine as there are plenty of exotic things floating around Mayfair.

The 24 hour car park half way up underneath Park Lane.
I've left plenty of exotica in that one with no issues, even parking next to a Veyron the last time.

Shallow ramps, security, good lighting and well maintained.

And it's cheap.

As I mentioned, Bourdon Street was a very good choice, but is one to avoid just at the moment, the car park is in bits and appears to be falling apart.. Workmen seem to be there every day but no work actually appears to be done!!

NCP on Brewer St (Soho) is safe as houses if you are West End based

Park Tower hotel (next to Harvey Nichs) has an NCP which is totally safe too

Always full of top end stuff

Not cheap to park mind

They already have a Ferrari parked there. biggrin

Ground floor at the NCP Brewer Street is my preferred parking place. Unfortunately they will be closing down soon.

NCP on Sloane Street is another good location.

Anywhere in Knightsbridge is fine on the street as many supercars so no issues .... In 15 years of parking supercars on the street in central London only 1 issue with vandalism ........s o generally safe and the cost of parking here after a week you could afford the best detailing ...

Not very easy to navigate though, steep ramps and tight turns?

For a single night-out that you're driving home on, if you're in Mayfair parking on the street is totally fine - assuming Berkeley Square sort of area.

If you're nearer Covent Garden then the Q-Park Newport Place is very good for the cause, but I tend to park on street on one of the roads between the Strand and the river.

I went in there on Saturday and it was a bit tight, only a few spaces and not very wide. I'm sure it is a safe spot though judging by the Dropheads all over the place.

Bryanston Square or Bryanston Place just behind Marble Arch are very safe nights....lit, lots of Embassies nearby and some very expensive cars sitting around outside. Good tube links and taxis available too.
