Volvo S60 V8 Supercar: Pic Of The Week

More Polestar Volvo goodness, now for your desktop!

Volvo and touring cars are inextricably linked with the old 850 estate here in Britain. It captured the minds of so many BTCC fans in a way that the 850 saloons and S40s never quite managed. But Volvo has campaigned many other models in its illustrious tin top history, including the first S60, C30s and the old 240 Turbos. For 2014 Volvo and Polestar embraced V8 Supercars with the S60 and, well, look at it!

Australian Volvo fans also get an S60 saloon version of the V60 Polestar driven this week. When's the full-blown V8 coming? We've also seen what that 4.4-litre engine found in the S80 and XC90 can do with a few tweaks after all...

Furthermore, Volvo has done well in the S60's debut season. Scott McLaughlin sits eighth in the drivers' standings with two wins. Here he is bouncing along at last weekend's Gold Coast 600, where McLaughlin and Alexandre Premat shared the driving of #33 to take a podium and a seventh in the two races.
