Thanks. So mindless.

The positive is it is limited to the spoiler, so I guess that can be painted off the car pretty easily. Still don't suppose it will cost less than £200 to do it properly.

Feel for you. The mindless little scrotes should be strung up and left to rot.

You could consider having it wrapped - might be cheaper.

Annoying and pointless!

I had this done to my previous Panamera earlier this year:

I know exactly how you feel today, have a beer and try to forget about it.

This sort of thing really really annoys me. To paraphrase Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction, it would be worth them doing it just to catch them in the act! My wife was 'lucky' enough to have her old 106 GTi targeted with paint stripper when she lived with her parents in Bristol and a few years later in Swindon. Every single panel.

Whilst I'm generally inclined to agree with you in my old property I caught 3 people who 'vandalised' a car parked on the street and every one of them was an upper class drunk twerp who cried when the police arrived. I actually think mindless crime should be more severely dealt with than crime with some degree of outcome - but I'm in the minority.

I had the 'pleasure' of having my car keyed once.
I think the type that do this should be pitied more than hated.
True failures.
Hope the damage is easily fixed.

I had my 911 egged when I first got it, did quite a bit of damage to the paint. I have not had it repaired as it inspires me to work harder so that I can buy another one. Chin up, have a beer.

Thanks all.

Thing is, in the grand scheme of things, I can easily afford to sort it, would just love to have a couple of hours in a cell with the person who did it to understand why they did it. I doubt they would be able to articulate why they did it, but it would make me feel better to spend some time trying.....

I had this done to my little Audi A2 in Tescos the other day. I bought it for £2000 as a local run around. It's 14 years old, but a jewel of a car. I was amazed that someone would do it. They're aluminium and I suspect it would be the cost of the car to repair.

20ish years back our neighbour had black paint sprayed all the way round their old but cared for Peugeot while they were on holiday. Some of the nicest people you could meet with a car that could not induce any envy. I don't understand what makes some people tick. I see a nice car and think I could aspire to have one of those, in the back of my mind is the other thought of they will have worked hard to get themselves that car not I should damage it just because it's not mine.
Feel for you OP I would want to inflict the same damage on the perpetrators face.

20 nice cars keyed in one small Fulham Street. Happened twice, one month apart.

A Pensioner on his way back from the pub with with a grievance against 'Yuppies'. I weren't no Yuppie, just a jobbing musician with a beat-up 1972 Porsche 911S.

The way to look at it is, be happy that you've got yourself to a position in life where you have been able to aquire a car worthy of vandalism.
Comes with the territory, sadly.
