996 GT3 to Lotus Exige V6 Cup

I own a 996 GT3. I use it predominantly for track days with the odd Sunday blast. However, with prices having gone ballistic over the past year, I am now in a position to do a near swap between a 10 yr old cars versus a brand new V6 Cup. Has anyone gone from a GT3 to V6 Cup? How do they compare?
Background .... I used to own an S2 Elise many moons ago and that was the best fun car I have ever owned. I loved the balance of the handling, the very cheap running costs, and the fact it could do 50 laps on the track and still drive home. It just lacked power, only 120bhp. The 996 GT3 is also great, bullet proof build and engine, loads of poke (mine near 400BHP), and immense fun (if a bit expensive) on the track. On the road I dont enjoy driving it as much as my other cars since the setup is too track focused.
