Interested to hear from anyone who's bought a Porsche from Ashgood (or had any dealings with them) - good experiences as well as anything bad. PM me if it's negative please as I don't want the thread turning into any sort of slanging match!

They've got a car on their website I may be interested in, but whilst they advertise themselves as a Porsche specialist I've never heard of them, unlike Paragon, Parr etc.

Thanks
Dave

relatively new indeed , Porsche sales specialists, all enthusiasts , principal has had and still has some of the best Porsches from all eras .........
Their terms and conditions some of the fairest i ve seen and their presentation is as good as it comes

i used to work with the Principal in a totally different world where we learnt our word was our bond !

Bringing this back to the top, anyone with recent experience to add?

As with the OP they have a car I might be interested in.

Thanks in advance.

I know this thread is old but I have recently purchased a Cayman from the lads at Ashgood and could not be more pleased. Having never driven any Porsche's before they welcomed me down and let me test drive a variety of different cars so I could compare the 'S' against the non 'S', the Boxster to the Cayman, manual to PDK etc etc. Loads of stock all with different specs so cars to suit all your needs as well as prices to suit all drivers, starting from mid teens up to hundreds of thousands for classic models !!

Eventually settled on a 2013 Cayman PDK Auto with the Chrono Sports Pack which had come from Porsche Bournemouth with a full history. Took it back just before Christmas and had a sports exhaust fitted and the calipers painted which the Ashgood lads took care of and even dropped the car back to me on a trailer.

3 weeks later when a nice young lady reversed in to the front, cracking all the paint the Ashgood lads once again sorted it all out for me and got it resprayed and back to it's former glory.

All in all, a quality service, plenty of advice and very helpful and will defiantly be going back when I feel the need to upgrade.

I've just made a purchase from the guys at Ashgood and what makes it more impressive is the fact that prior to my visit, I didn't rate Porsches and certainly had no time for the Boxter.
But after a demo out in a Cayman S, I was taken out in a Boxter S PDK just to sample the auto box as I'd already admitted to being a die hard manual fanatic. What I wasn't prepared for was the Boxter having Sport and Sport plus modes, Sports switchable exhaust and PASM! 5 minutes later with everything turned on I was grinning from ear to ear and couldn't believe what I'd just experienced, blown away from my first proper Porsche experience, so much so, I paid the deposit and collect the car at the end of the month.
All of that wouldn't have happened if the guys at Ashgood hadn't have taken the time to entertain a non-believer and let me play in their cars with no hard sale or clock watching, very happy with them indeed!

I have just bought my second Porsche from Mike & Lynden at Ashgood. Once again very happy with the level of service and would defiantly recommend to all those looking for a Porsche. PX'd my Cayman for a reasonable price and have moved up to my first 911, wasn't quite to my spec so Mike has offered to get new wheels and paint them black, swap over my GT steering wheel, fit heated seats, paint the calipers and a few other minor issues, nothing seems to be too much bother and I am a fussy git when it comes to my cars. Can't wait to pick it up next week

Unless I am mistaken, it was you who bought the car the very day before I was due to head down to view it! You snooze, you lose! October last year, right?

I did get fixed up with a Club Sport in the end, but I really did like the look of that car.

In my experience most used car dealers only provide 3 months warranty unless you pay for additional warranty.
