having a clear out, and i have a spa dash i was thinking of fitting this winter

one of these except 200 mph.

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/dash-dis...

Problem is my car is now geared to 237 mph, so although the dash goes to 200 mph does anyone know if it carries on round or stops?

Been also thinking of selling it... Anyone on here have any experiance with using one.. is it nice, easy , clear ect to read and does it replace all the old school round guages or not give enough clear info?

i love the look of it hence buying it, but sometimes you have too many spares sitting around in cupboards with no time to fit them.

thanks dom

Dom

Get in touch with Tony at SPA and see if they will recalibrate it for you and fit a new dial to say 240mph.

Somehow I suspect you will not need much over 200mph anyway........

Tell me about it I've still got a Stack dash with pod and loom ready to go straight on that I still haven't fitted.
Problem is I have Spa Speedo and rev counter in the "normal" position and I prefer the analogue readouts.
I don't suppose you fancy a swap stack for Spa?

Ive been using my SPA dash since iva 5years ago.
You could use it instead of all the gauges but if you want to watch oil pressure , water temp etc the mini display is a little too mini (caveat - i am a little long sighted these days and this may cause blurring at dash distance).
The fuel gauge is clear to use while driving as that is made up of blocks, has the added bonus of being able to calibrate for odd shape tanks.

It has all the indicator, headlamp, main beam warning lights on the dash built in as well.

The speedo and tacho are very easy to read and as you probably know I have mine mounted behind the steering wheel.

The glass on the unit seems to be some kind of anti glare/reflecting plastic, although i don't remember reading about that. Backlighting is adjustable to a very comfortable dim light at night.

If i hadn't had all my analogue gauges already mounted in my dashboard (installed initially for my sbc which went bang) i would probably have gone with the SPA dash + water temp and oil pressure gauge only. I would have used the SPA to measure any other pressures/temps.

Summary - I had the 1st 200mph SPA dash, commissioned when I visited the Autosport show a number of years back and have no regrets with it at all, imho it adds a slightly more modern feel to the dash and is mounted where i want it when I'm driving ..... in front of me. Its small enough not to be domineering on the dash but plenty large enough to read the dials easily.
