I've thrown in the towel with my local OPC. Anyone have any recommendations for oem parts supply? Really would be nice to find somewhere with service to justify the silly prices....thanks in advance

I've been on the site but assumed they only sell the popular stuff that's listed and didn't order special bits in?

Thanks I think I knew that already, I was really hoping for members recommendations of somewhere that can order whatever bits I need and won't mess me about.

I've always been happy with Design911 and Gert at Carnewal in Belgium is very quick with delivery if you need certain things.

What on earth makes you think every non-PC seller is going to offer perfect service, or that every PC will let you down?

Non-Porsche parts are available elsewhere: Brakes, electrics, etc. Be careful as sellers do mark them up as if we're all stupid and rich, so get the Porsche price first.

Porsche-specific parts are often available through aftermarket sellers, but they can only be from Porsche so there's going to be a mark-up. Again, some sellers think we're too stupid and rich to notice, so ask for a price from Porsche first!

Always call Porsche for a price. The worst you can do is then be armed with the correct price, and look for it cheaper elsewhere knowing you're not being conned by someone whacking a silly profit on to parts they've bought direct. I've seen 300% mark ups on PC prices from some well-respected "specialists".

I buy from my OPC and cheaper than any 3rd party for Porsche parts I find with discount.
Never had an issue.

Paul in fairness i did say i had a problem with my local opc so hadn't ruled out recommendations of opc that gave good service. If they exist.

Half the battle with 'parts' is finding a member of staff somewhere that is actually interested and knowledgeable about his/her product, be that Porsche parts, microwave oven spares or whatever.

Myself and several fellow TIPEC members use Adam at Porsche Centre Bolton: keen as mustard about the Marque, willing to hunt a bit for odd requests and offer the friendliest price he can.

Some do have staff that are interested in different models. Exeter used to be the go-to for my car, but Leicester now offers the best service. Neither are near to me, but in turn offered better service for my car than my local PC.

It's worth knowing who is best for the model you own: the more specific forums are better for that than PH in all honesty.
