Well i did not see any more light there at all!I can't see it being ONE 77 based - too much has moved on since then
There is a suggestion of less than 30 being made, it's def not road legal, it sounds like it has nothing to do with Vantage GT3 - I just wonder if they might have done something based on the Gran Turismo car DP-100 ?

omg another one of this very very special extra super editions of those yesterdays cars ... what makes it so Special this time? oh, the color (bullst Brown metallic) and some extra power (5 bhp) .. we have all waited for this! It's a great name. Doesn't just evoke memories of a great example of aeronautical design and engineering, but also of the pilots and engineers who operated and maintained them. They hold a special place in my memories of our country.
I hope the car lives up to the name!!
Tall order, but will keep positive and hopeful in this...

Just a little nugget: Gaydon used to be a RAF base that was home to the Vulcan delta-winged bomber.
At least it's not a random 'V' then! When I was considering my Virage, I saw a number of derogatory remarks at the time about Astons naming of cars beginning with the letter V. It was like listening to all the class idioots when they first got hold of a dictionary!
Fortunately for Aston Martin, the Virage was good enough to get me out of my 911 C4S (which is a great car in it's own right).
Let's face it, the Italians have been getting away with exotic sounding names that are actually as dull as ditchwater for decades...and let's not even get on to the LaFerrari...
Reminds me of when I heard Fabio Capello speak in English the first time (and he is obviously a great football manager) but he sounded like Mr Bean. Worse than that, he sounded like a bloke called Mr Hair. I think that's what actually lost us the Workd Cup: we were being managed by a bloke called Mr Hair who sounded like Mr Bean. The players confidence evaporated. Until then they thought we were being managed by a stylish Milanese winner...

Now there's an idea for a future model name
Lightning ... Nice one. Except Disney has buggered that one up for many years with their 'Cars' film. Vulcan

Now there's an idea for a future model name
If you buy an Aston Martin Lightning (which is a great name) your PH name will automatically change to VanquishMcQueen
