Am writing a review article and need to know how much a 1997 (or nearest) Rolex 14060 Submariner no-date cost when new?

Thanks

I would have said under 2kstg in 1997. The Rolex Airking retailed under 2k in 2002. Pretty shocking how dear they are and what people pay for them obviously these days. If people didn't give it to Rolex they wouldn't charge it.

A new Mini cost £497 in 1959. Why oh why did people keep giving them the asking price, it's all gone crazy now !

around £1490, well in 1996, as I was going to get one, but went for the 'flashy' Sub-Date at £1840 as it was COSC rated and obviously the date.
Funnily I didn't 'get' the SD at the time, why was this watch more expensive, considering it has 'bits missing' (cyclops) and went a bit deeper, lol, the naivety

Bought mine in Zermatt , the first time I'd seen sub , sub date and sea dweller all together , I didn't like the sub date so it was between the sub and sd .

The sub won as it was a couple of hundred quid cheaper , still kick myself 14 years later.

Hi,

The sub 16610 was £1,870 back in 1995, and probably about £1,350 for the 14060M!
