McLaren P1 GTR: Pic Of The Week

McLaren's 1000hp track-only P1 GTR in all its glory and ready to grace your desktop!

McLaren knows how to pluck at the heartstrings, unveiling its finished P1 GTR in a Geneva show livery inspired by the 'Harrods' F1 GTR driven to third place in the 1995 Le Mans by Derek Bell, Justin Bell and Andy Wallace. We like! Enough to devote Pic Of The Week to it, the rear-quarter view showing off the car's fixed height rear wing, exposed carbon diffuser and impressive Inconel titanium exhaust system.

If we're being picky we'd have a little moan about the excessive post-production applied to what appear to be genuine photos of both this and the original F1 GTR that inspired it. Given they seemingly went to the trouble of getting them both in the studio it seems a pity to then 'shop them to look more like renders but, nonetheless, the car still looks mega and is a worthy addition to your desktop!

McLaren, wow. If only I had the money for both the P1 and one of these frown.

Just wow.

The P1 does look like a smug frog but I still like it.

Wow. McLaren are really on a roll now. P1, 650S and now 675LT and P1GTR.
The brand goes from strength to strength off the back of the PRODUCT and not marketing spin

It's a good job the cars are good though, because their marketing is atrocious.

Agree. But I want to buy a great car not some expensive marketing campaign which is factored into the price.

Going forward McLaren will need to get it right and build the brand to improve their profit margins.
Ferrari leads the way with this and boy do you pay through the nose for a prancing horse
