Mercedes-AMG C63: Pic Of The Week

Well what's an AMG launch without a sideways shot or two?

Shameless self-aggrandising skidding shot ahoy! Well, with some track time on the C63 launch allocated for - cough - 'cornering shots' and familiarity with this particular turn's drifting potential from the M3/M4 launch it seemed rude not to. And here we are with the C63 proving that, despite the improvements in traction, there's only so much the computers can do with 510hp and 516lb ft going to the rear wheels.

Didn't all go to plan...
Didn't all go to plan...
In the spirit of full disclosure though we can't pretend everything went smoothly getting this pic. Included here is an out-take of Dan realising he's lost the back end completely, is going to spin and thereby decides to give long suffering snapper Richard Pardon double thumbs up as he exits the frame backwards in a cloud of tyre smoke.

Ever the pro Richard managed to bag the shot on the return pass. And here it is for your desktop delight.

Traditional (4:3)
Computer widescreen (16:10)
TV widescreen (16:9)
Portrait (smartphone, etc)

I think the previous model actually looks better.

Agree... frankly theres not one current Mercedes model I desire at the moment. They used to be cool because they were understated and engineered. Now they are overstated, downright ugly! Engineering has crossed over to computers controlling everything.
