Well a few months ago I, for the 1st time ever, sponsored a 'kick-starter' campaign (I'll admit that the Daily Mail me was a little nervous not having done this before... what if this happens/that happens, scam etc etc) which was started by Dan at Black Art Graphics. It turns out that there was no need to be nervous and the results have, in my opinion, been very well worth-while, and the art every-bit as good as the PDF doc I was sent as a final proof-read.

Arrival:

Unpacking - 1, well inside the box is another nice quality box... this is like Christmas:

Unpacking - 2. Get the lid off and the etching has been nicely packaged to prevent any 'in transit mishaps':

Protection - 1, a poor pic and I will re-take later, but it does show the corners wel protected:

Protection - 2, the inside of the box... nice and snug:

Protection - 3, neat packaging:

Dimensions l:

Dimensions w:

Dimensions diagonal:

in addition it's about 2mm thick

Weight: 2.5 lbs

Long story short - buy one. They're great!

From £125 I am sure they are well packaged!

I love stuff like that.

I once bought a model kit (Klingon bird of prey) that came with a poster by the Artist Bruce Morser. It is the Enterprise-A in this kind of "engineering" format. It's so good I had it framed and hangs in my study to this day.

I predict this thread won't last long!

It does look great though!

Might we have a pic of the underside of the box, taken from an angle 27 degrees from vertical?

I was hoping for 28 degrees but I'll bow to your better judgement on this.

If you want something customised to your car sketched on paper it'll cost less, if you want it on card it'll cost more than on paper and so on.
Quite simply put - you get what you pay for.

O/T

Do you belong to the Strato's Enthusiasts' Club? If you don't you should. I sold my Hawk a couple of years ago. An epic machine.

Yes, we belong to the SEC smile Ours is a NapierSport. Saying that, I'd want the Black Art Graphic made for my Alfa GT.

Another (very) satified customer here. Received my impressive box today and am delighted to have posession of Dan's first rendering of an F-Type. It is a great piece of work and, having gone through a number of iterations, is just as I wanted it - with lots of personalisation so that it really represents my car.

As others have said, Dan is a pleasure to do business with. Straightforward, talented and professional.

The finished product is something I may well enjoy owning for longer than the car itself!
