PCM Screen issues.

Couple of days ago, when starting up my 57 plate 997 Turbo, screen on the PCM was blank. Switched off then on, came back fine. Then today top half inch was flickering for about 20 minutes, then went blank completely. CD player works ok, finished journey by using arrow display in the instrument cluster.
Any ideas on likely cause, and/ or a fix other then taking to dealer?

Hi,
mine's the same on an 05 Boxster. Removing the pcm and then replacing the screen is fairly easy ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0MdRdbmseYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A93lzls295c ), however the model number of my LCD screen appears to be fairly rare and hence expensive. So far I've found it for £267 from China or £354 from the Netherlands. A dealer will want to replace your entire PCM, while I don't know how much that would be I'm confident it will be >£1000.
