Porsche 997 C2S - in GT silver
Discussion
I'm looking to buy a 997 Gen II in GT Silver....... Was it not a popular option ?
Dealer ads for C2S 997's seem choked up with black and white cars.....
Anyone here got a GT silver one? If so can they post some pics and should they be bored with it
drop me a PM to negotiate a deal. Looking for manual gearbox, sports chrono, switchable exhaust - that's all. Thanks

Not vert common, I have a rally nice spec one but its PDK so no good to you.
Funny thing is I wanted a White or Black one but could not find one in the spec I wanted to settled on GT Silver.
Have you driven a manual I hear they are not very good in the 991.

That'll be a great addition to what's becoming a nice little collection for you. I think the cocoa interior goes really well with GT silver and the combination is discreetly distinctive. However, finding cars that tick all the boxes on your wish list may prove challenging (and that's before you scrutinise the individual cars to see if they're any good). If it was me I don't think I'd be bothered about sports chrono (there's no performance improvement on a manual AFAIK) and I'd be happy to look at other exhaust options for an otherwise-suitable car. Good luck in your search.

I agree sports chrono is a must if you have a PDK car but I would not bother in a manual.
Yes and no - while it doesn't do much, it does sharpen up the throttle a bit. I now can't drive without SC on - it feels like the throttle travel is far too long otherwise. It's the first button I hit after start up.It'll be a personal preference thing of course.

I hear this mentioned a lot but have no idea why , can you explain ?
I think its because Sports chrono on the PDK gives you sport and sport plus modes which quickens shifts etc.that said even on the manual I thought sports chrono remapped the throttle response a bit and stiffened the suspension as well as switchwed on the sports exhaust. not just the daft clock on the dash..happy to be corrected though!!berty37 said:
