My mate had that for a year or so did around 200 miles sold it last year to/through same dealer at a substantial profit, I thought he sold it for mental money (made up for the loss he made on the M5 I took off him) however looking at the price now........
So, your friend is a printer in Bishops Stortford? That was sold to the printer by Nick Cartwright. From memory he paid £55k or thereabouts from Nick and Furlonger sold it for £99k I'm 'the friend'.
The car is an absolute peach and by far the best RHD example. I bought it from Cartwright's in September 2012 for £60k and fully intended it to be a keeper. However as often happens, things changed and for various reasons, not least the opportunity to realise a property 'dream', I decided to sell at the beginning of last year. The deal on the table from SF was right for me at the time and I was happy with the outcome. However I never in my wildest dreams expected the car to double in 10 months although clearly the guys at SF did, - I believe the last keeper is still noted as me, SF must therefore have kept hold of the car so it seems it was never actually a true SOR deal as I had been led to believe.
Still there you go, oh for the benefit of hindsight ! Although I think it's fair to say AFAIK it's not actually sold yet for £200k, but one of 7 RHD cars in the world (one has been written of apparently) and one of 50 overall??, I reckon at £200k it's a bloody bargain and as another knowledgable friend said to me recently "I reckon you should buy it back, it'll probably be a 'half a mill' car in a few years"
I reckon he's probably right...

The car was in storage in the period mentioned and it had a full service last year when it was sold to a private collector. The car has probably only done 10 miles in the twelve months.
They are not exactly growing on trees!!
According to the service book and job reference number it was only an annual. They are not exactly growing on trees!!
Rare indeed, but the price point now makes provenance highly critical. (All imo of course)
Edit... I stand corrected on the services, Nick C did another annual with cam belt in 2007. (Which was the last belt change the car had.)

The car is lovely. It hasn't been used, which is why the service history is 'as-is' . Whether it is really worth £200k is another debate entirely. Rare indeed, but the price point now makes provenance highly critical. (All imo of course)
