My experience with Ferrari indie specailists is very good - there are some fantastic places out there like Shiltech with very knowledgable staff, along with a huge community of people online like Ferrarichat (and of course PH) where you can get info and some models even have registry websites etc, etc, so finding out info about many VINs is relatively easy. Also speaking to main dealers for info isnt bad (the ones I've dealt with like Greypaul Nottingham are fantastic - they're not just dealers, they also have very knowledgable staff and info) and they do also deal with a lot of the older models as well.

However, the story seems to be very different for Lamborghini. The HR Owen dealerships seem good for sales, but I've tried the service departments at HR Owen and Sytner and they only seem to deal with newer models and knowledge on older cars (even on original Murci's for example) seems lacking. In most cases I feel like I'm talking to a BMW dealership not a supercar dealership. I know its Audi owned obviously but surely there are many owners of older models out there they could be catering for. The replies I've had back to basic questions sometimes are laughably basic and speaking to them on the phone their knowledge of details is very lacking - I always feel like I'm talking to someone who is just following the service manual.

To be expected of main dealers perhaps - but even more frustratingly is - where are the indie's I can speak to about these cars in detail, there dont seem to be any?! The likes of Bob Houghton deal with older cars, but who do you speak to and trust about Countach, Diablo, Murci's etc?

You've not tried very hard ! Admittedly they aren't many but start with Carrerasport and then check out how many Ferrari specialists also look after Lambos

BHP Motorsport in Aylesbury seem to know their stuff when it comes to Lamborghini. And the guys there are certainly very easy to talk to.

OP, remember the lambo dealerships are not that old, aside maybe from south ken, but thats a sales place.... as above, for the older cars, the indie's mentioned above are who you turn to....

lamborghini sales volumes are a fraction of ferraris, even more so pre gallardo

fewer old cars equals fewer service options

i think Paul Coster in London took care of at least one Diablo in the past. I think the owner is on here, orange 6.0 from memory.

There are plenty of options. Many who work on Ferrari are also Lamborghini trained.

Lamborghini Pangbourne now look after my Diablo 6.0 and do a good job. Their technician trained on Diablos I think.

Try Migliore cars at Bromsgrove, Vic & Kevin are top blokes.

They do F, Mas & Lambo my F360 has been going there annually for 4 years and is currently there for cambelt service.

They are happy to pick up and drop to station which links to W Mids very well.

I have often seen Lambo in there, they had a Gallardo for engine rebuild in there Friday evening.
