RE: Aston Martin DB9 'Project Domino':PHTV
Monday 30th March 2015
Originally a 450hp 'pipe and slippers' DB9 Volante, this DB9 has been optimised by Bamford Rose with the following upgrades: engine and exhaust upgrades to take power to 530hp, a lightweight flywheel, twin plate clutch, electromagnetic switchable suspension and a Brembo GranTurismo brake upgrade kit. There's also further chassis stiffening to keep it all in check. This drive-by from PHer BamfordMike was shot at Millbrook on the brake straight.

Think Aston V12s sound good standard? Wait until you hear this!
The exhaust note apparently desired by the customer for this project was 'as loud as possible'. This meant both the primary and secondary pipe lengths were adjusted for volume but also at the expense of the normal Aston bass/baritone exhaust burble. We're told the car later reverted back to a more sensible spec but here we've got it at its rawest. Turn up the speakers...

Not really sure why you'd do this with a DB9...
^This. It's a GT, a Pan-European cruiser, not something to park up beside the Saxos and Corsas in the car park at McDonalds. Right idea, wrongly applied to me and it's not like Aston don't do vehicles like the Vantage or Vanquish that this may be better applied to. Mind you I still wouldn't even then, some things are just best left alone.
