PHTV - Episode 6

Nurburgring testing, the new Caterhams, PHer vids and more!

The Nurburgring figures highly on the PH radar, be that homepage stories about lap times, testing, the ongoing ownership saga or PHers' adventures on the Nordschleife in the forums. It's a big part of today's PHTV episode too, with Dale capturing the best from the first Industry Pool test day of the year. Keep a look out a for a Jaguar F-Type with a gigantic rear wing, a very fast Audi A8 and a turbocharged (or so it seems) Aston Martin.

There's plenty more to discuss too, as always. Dan and James have the (perhaps surprising) PHer reaction to the Range Rover Sport SVR, the latest PH news (including clarification on those new Caterhams from a man who should know) plus a pair of Carpool videos from our recent Silverstone Sunday Service.

Finally, a big thanks to all PHers who have submitted videos so far. We have another couple featured in this episode but we still need more - keep at it!

Watch it here.

Especially fun:

1. the call-outs of PH comments from the forum

2. following Dale as he hunts wily manufacturers in the wild

Something weird is happening with posting on these PHTV pieces. My post has disappeared. Anyway, it said well done to the lads, getting smoother on each new episode, good to see Dale in person but tell him to stop cranking his head around, it's making me queasy.

Glad you liked that; we've now caught up with ourselves so our filming is now matched with the content. In other words we know the contents of the clips we're talking about, which hopefully makes the links more manageable and relevant. And we're keen to get the voices of PHers in there so we'll perhaps look to make this a permanent fixture.

And not sure what's going on with the lost comments but will investigate. We have a slight issue in that the host page for the PHTV section is different from the homepage one so it's possible to have two parallel threads running so it may be that the mods are fiddling behind the scenes. Will report back!

Cheers!

Best one so far by miles
Really liked Dales Section from the Nurburgring, and hope you're going to continue the scoops via that route
Far less wooden than previous ones too

Getting better, however it must be very demoralising when the quality of a contributor's video is miles ahead of yours...

Much better, not that my opinion matters that much. Dale seems to be a bit of a natural in front of the camera. I really feel you ought to dial it back a bit with the music. The music, absolutely honestly, isn't that good. It dates the whole show. If you want some better music then get in touch. Seriously. I've been making music for television for a very long time. It's what I do. I'll give it to you cost just so I never have to listen to that again. You need a theme, some instantly recognizable audio branding. Mnemonics. They work.

Sorry, no film crew for me, so I have to hold the camera and speak into it. It's like chatting with my hand!

With 5,194 posts to your name, sounds like you have allot of spare time on your hands, I'm not surprised you get bored so easily. Ever thinking of getting an on-line degree? Full-time employment? Moving out of your parents house? Okay I know you and your Mum are close but ...
