A Mazda MX5 isn't a supercar.
Nor the Wrx or 370z, a push the GTR is a Super sports car.

LFA is the only one I can think of that you could call a Supercar.

I still say there aren t any. And i'm on my 5th GTR and my bird has a Mitsi GTO. And I've driven all the others. At best some of them are sports cars but definitley not supercars. And that includes the nsx; it may be sought after and have the senna connection but it's so slow. . .. even when they were new they were not particularly quick. I'd say an aventador is a supercar but a hurracan isn't, even tho it's still a lambo. Likewise an Aventador is a supercar but a Ferrari F12 isn't, even tho it's the same price. No current porshce (except) 918 is a supercar, even tho some of them are very very quick. The audi R8 isn't a supercar. Not even the LMX. No current Aston. No current Lotus. No BMW. NO merc but maybe the SL 65 Black is.
I haven't driven an LFA but I know it isn't a supercar.
Speed doesn't make a supercar. Nor does price tag.
Some people don't know the difference between a sports car and a supercar.
Some people don't know the difference between a super car and a supercar.

Just remembered the ultimate jap supercar. It would have given the F1 something to think about had it made it into series production. Sadly it was canned after three prototypes had been built. V12, 3.5 litre contemporary F1 engine and featherweight.

Surely these are all great cars and very capable but 'super cars'? My wife has an MX5, I'm sure she'll be well happy

I'd have an NSX Type R over most things what a car, a true classic. I think there is only one in the UK, prices on these are nuts, last time I looked a few years ago 150K to get one over to the UK.
