Interesting mode on this Polish GTR.

Not sure on the upright fin, but I think the splitter uprights are a good idea to tidy up airflow around the wheels:

Hedge trimmers, not too practical for the road, too easy to damage when parking up.
Like the look though.

I've always thought that the vertical fin (a la Audi R18 or new Porsche LeMans car) would look very cool on the car but I don't plan to get sideways at 150mph or greater. But I am interested in some of the canard (right term?) upswept wings at the front corner of the car. The ones on this particular car are not as well designed and have questionable function compared to others. Does anyone sell or have a pattern for them?

The canards are under way as we speak, I'm just finishing the CAD drawings before machining the moulds... So not long hopefully. I should have had them done sooner but I've been side tracked readying the car for its IVA this coming Thursday and test fitting my new carbon pylons for the wing (see attached photo)

lets face it none of us have a wind tunnel to play with, that I know of! Therefore we are kind of committed to following what we see on real race cars with real race budgets. The alternative to that is when serious race guys like macgtech and his crew post something that has worked for them its very much worth considering. That said the car at the beginning of this thread deviates from the norm of what is seen on most of todays racecars the splitters in front being so high up on the side of the car for one. Everyone is very much entitled to their ideas of what looks and should function well. But I personally, would try to stay close to what folks with budgets and technical specialist skills are currently using.
I would also suspect that the Ultima Factory folks have made a business determination that because of liability they are going to refrain from saying to much about mods for fear of lawyers. Lee

As far as I'm aware the wing will not get through IVA, I would take it off to be sure.

Thanks Graham, it's ok though, I have removed it again anyway as I'm getting the alloy pylon mounts anodised black, so it's now staying off until after the iva.
