Ferrari 365 GTB/4 'Daytona': Time For Tea?

Fabulous tea break entertainment from a Ferrari V12 and Petrolicious

This isn't the freshest Petrolicious video but it does feature one of Ferrari's most iconic models, a British-based one too. And that has to be worth your valuable tea drinking time a little more than a VW Scirocco, right?

Matthew Lange's father bought this Daytona in 1974 to use as a company car (!) and put 40,000 miles on the car in its first few years. Can you even imagine arriving at a meeting in this?

It was gifted to Matthew when he turned 30 and he has continued to enjoy its full potential. Alright, so it hasn't travelled another 40,000 miles but the car is used regularly - and is there any better trip for 365 GTB/4 than a holiday in France?

It's another superb Petrolicious vid, with a car and driver that it is difficult not to like. Well worth a five-minute break with a brew!

Watch the vid here.

Nice to see such a great car being used.

Without the power steering it would be difficult to get enough grip on the steering wheel with those gardening gloves :-)

I knew Mathews dad ( MD of Marlborough Property Holdings) and REMEMBER when he used to arrive at meetings in this car.

What a refreshing piece from a normal bloke. I like his attitude towards ownership. I did enjoy the sound effects from inside the cabin.

Nice to see an example without the nine inch rears and some lovely pressing on sound at about 6 minutes

I really love these cars but now so unaffordable for the mere mortals like me sadly........

Haha this car is my wallpaper as shot back in 2006 at Goodwood during the Supercar breakfast. Love the styling but would need to modify the brakes, steering and cooling for proper GT tours.

What an awesome noise!

I too hope to pass down my car to future generations, mine isn't quite so special though...

Fantastic car - in my teenage years it was the quickest car in the Autocar test results for about a decade!
Which is why I always wanted one, but will certainly never own one now!
Back in 1972 my Dad bought a 2 year old Fiat 125 for £895 from a used car lot in Tooting - there were loads of them along the high road then. Just around the corner another dealer had a Daytona up for sale for just under £6,000! I only found out four years later when he had a stroke that he had enough stashed in the building society to have gone and bought it cash! Wish he had as he would have loved it, but was too "sensible". Strange what you remember though.
Anyway that video is great - I like the way the car is used as intended but also looked after properly. Hope the current owner enjoys it for a long time.

My favourite Ferrari by a long way, what a fantastic machine and what a nice story. There's something about these cars that just makes them so much better when they're actually used.

What a wonderful sounding thing. 350ish bhp is quite enough for me when it gets delivered like that!

Given your user name I would have hoped for something more insightful, but given that the David Watts I knew at primary school would be frightened of a tube station (especially at midnight) I hope you are not in too much of a Jam!

I agree about the SD1 comment. I was never a fan. There was one of these parked outside a local indian restaurant for many years.
