Just thought some of you here would enjoy this little snippet from this weekends TF sessions at the Nürburgring.

We were just going for what should have been relaxed laps in the massive traffic - hence no helmets. But the chance of getting a video like this was not one I would want to miss.

No doubt the 4wd and 200 bhp surplus means the Huaracan has the legs on my GT3. But with a really sorted suspension and perhaps a bit more experienced driver - the traffic makes sure this is actually a really close lap between us. I have not counted the overtakes but there are plenty.

Hope you enjoy and share the video of what is probably one of my most enjoyable laps ever on the Nürburgring

It certainly does. When I get my McLaren next year I will do one 'carefulish' lap of the Ring smile

Yes, very confident! Also fair play to take a brand new Huracan round at speed too...

I'm always wary overtaking people into left handers, looks like you had quite a few opportunities for this to happen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SiRj3gteI0

Nice, smooth lap, even with traffic! smile

The next lap round after this one - he pulled over and gave me the lead.

You can find his lap behind me here. Some even closer overtakes on that one.

My video is on its way also.

He'd have been 2 seconds a lap quicker without the Hummer timepiece on his wrist ;-)))

Brilliant viewing - thank you both so much !

Nice! Some decisive overtakes which reduced impact of a fair amount of traffic.

I suppose the motto is 'do not overtake at or approaching corners'.

Forgive me if I'm being thick, but how does that differ to right handers?!

On a TF at the Nurburgring, German road traffic law applies, ie overtake only on the left. Most people acknowledge that and stay right to allow faster cars to overtake. Apart from the guy in the vid obviously...

On a right hander, they're more likely to be on the right and not cut over, though this isn't always the case...

If I'm unsure, I'll wait til the straight or until they indicate they've seen me.
