Lamborghini Aventador SV :Pic Of The Week

Pic Of The Week was a tough decision this Friday. Obviously it had to feature the Lamborghini Aventador SV - new V12 Lambos don't arrive often - but which colour?

Natural instinct is to plump for one of the lairy hues, a green or an orange in typically extravagant Lamborghini fashion. Very good, but we've seen those in the original story and at Geneva. Red was used for a few press images as well. Also, while the idea of a Italian flag line up was appealing, the reality didn't quite match it.

So grey it was. Not usually the most arresting colour but when it adorns something as outrageous and malevolent as the Aventador SV it very much works. Here it waits in the pit at Catalunya, spoiler, diffuser and quad exhausts lending it an impossibly tough stance. Not for everyone perhaps, but with undeniable presence. And isn't that what Lamborghinis are all about?
