I don't think it's capable of racing.

In fairness (not my cup of tea, granted) I have seen so much worse.

Bodykit is fitted quite well by the looks of it and wheels are pretty tastefull (even tho they need spacers to really fill the arches). Ok, the neons/LEDs what ever are pretty useless but it could be a decent car with a few alterations...

OK, so the people on PHeads don't like modified shopping trolleys, me niether, but i think it's a bit childish to piss our selfs laughing at every modified car on Ebay... I'm bored of it now.

Yes, the Escort Cab that was posted was horrendously shite, but cars that are just modified like this one don't deserve such ridicule.

I know this view won't be shared by 80% of members, but I can't see him defending himself.

He's trying bless him!

There is no sound system or rear seats to keep the weight down for better performance, which is also why I only have 17 inch wheels instead of 19s...

Just my opinion.

What I never understand about this sort of thing is the amount of money that gets poured into them...

"...upwards of £8K spent on modifiying here alone..."

Why? To end up with a Citroen Saxo with 135hp????

£8,000 will by a lot more HP than that, a lot more handling than that, and - I understand the owner's probably youngish, still have a decent wad left over for insurance.

For example, this lovely little Alfa:

£5000!!!

But that's exactly the point - you're interested in BHP. These guys are interested in bodykits etc. I agree with Top Fuel. Give these guys a break.

Those not interested in cars at all see no difference between PHers and Laxxers. We're just a different kind of motoring enthusiast.

At least these guys are spending their time and money on a petrol-related addiction and not a lentil-related one.

I think if that came standard from the factory, without the stupid rear end and black bonnet, then alot of people would probably say it looks quite good, also if it had 200bhp it would be a lot more respectable.

I think the trouble is these guys go a bit too far, What a 6 exhausts going to do (5 of which are probably fake) other than reduce HP?!

Thing is, IMO it looks OK until you get to the back end, which is atrocious, but that's up to the owner if he wants to suggest that for some reason a little four-pot needs six exhausts.

But, at least he has modified the engine and suspension and hasn't put in a stupid large speaker system, just a CD player.

But, and this is the thing that gets me - why did £8k buy that? Those modifications, however extensive, are not worth £8k. For £8k you could probably buy something closer to the kind of car he likes, and don't say 'he won't get insured' because if you can justify spending over twice the car's value on arseing up the back end and making the engine a little bit faster, then firstly, he'd probably be paying more in insurance than on a faster stock-standard sports car, and he'd be able to afford a little bit more anyway.

At least it is the 'hot' version he's done it to - I quite often type in 'Replica' in ebaymotors, looking for kit cars, and find, amongst them, bog-standard Saxos that have been chavved up to the nines, and the owner is trying to pass it off as a 'Saxo VTR replica' - yeah mate, VTRs have front snowploughs as standard

VTS's are 130 bhp as standard (well ours is anyway).. I'll bet he really noticed the "Blitz intake cold air feed blaa blaa" thing after fitting.. giving him "approx 135bhp"

I'll wager with the extra drag co-oeficcient from his bodykit and wheels, its now slower than standard.

Apart from the ridiculous rear and exhausts, it looks quite tasty. Not a bad job really. In fact, I'd go so far to say that for a maxxed car, it's quite tasteful from the C-pillar forwards! The wheels suit, the interior looks ok, it's a good colour and even the bonnet sets it off nicely.

A cut above your usual chavved up crap. Still wouldn't touch it with a bargepole though

You've got to admit that the exhaust pipes, with one for each cylinder and two left over, are a little amusing.

But I do completely agree that these "let's point and laugh at the silly car" type threads are getting distinctly boring.

Car seems ok for that type of market until you see the back end.
Get rid of awful exhausts , repair bumper and the car would look ok.

Fit the original wheelz and rear seat and paint the bonnet and it's still a SH(AXO)ITE.

I'd rather cut my wrists.
