I'm about to start hunting down the history of my cerb . All I have to go on is that was a Scottish supplied car.

So who are / were the dealers and specialists up there.

Theres currently TVR Ecosse in Dundee. Dreadnought based in Callendar used to be a franchise, theyd be my starter for ten. The place still operates as a mechs garage but they may have old paperwork.
Hope this is useful.

Dreadnought have been TVR dealers for years and years, and so will probably have come across most of the 'local' cars in their time.

In Edinburgh we have the Brandon Motor Company (bust quite a few years ago), and then replaced by the short-lived Logik business at Halbeith.

Quite a few folks also took their cars to Hexham Horseless Carriages for servicing; over the border, but they would also know quite a few of the Scottish cars.

Iv not had much time to look I to this yet but I have found out the the car spent some of its time in motherwell and then blyth.

Anyone know who would be the people to take it to in those areas.

Noel Flannery in East Lothian was a popular service outlet for TVR's but he packed in a few years ago, also Alan MacDonald Sports cars (think he previously owned Brandon Motor Company mentioned above). In terms of new car sales my car was originally sold by Glenvargil in Edinburgh.

By history do you mean previous owners? If so a form and a fiver sent to the DVLA is all you need and they will send you all the registered keepers.
