Hi guys

Looking for the above and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of a good cover supplier.

Cars sitting on the drive until I can buy or rent a garage nearby.

Many thanks

Just be careful when you have the car cover on. If the wind hits it and your car is dirty / not grit free, you run the risks of the paintwork being scratched up.

I used Specialised... I bought a Stormshield+

https://www.specialisedcovers.com/

After 12 months it stopped being waterproof, and the fleece lining gradually picks up grit when you take it on and off, so eventually the car gets scuffs. You have to wash the car before you put it on.

I've given up with it now except over winter, and just make sure the car gets a regular wash and wax.

Seriously, if it is only going to be for a few weeks, I wouldn't bother.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the advice.

Heard covers were bad news however I'm cleaning the car everyday which is not sustainable. Ideally it needs a garage, well double garage as the 612 is almost 7ft wide.

The car was supplied with a Ferrari indoor cover with I'm fine with but its just criminal when I return from work to a dirty car. More specifically given the hot weather I need to protect the leather interior and minor switchgear which can melt/ warp according to various sources. My car is a one to one with the glass roof which becomes a greenhouse when it's exceptionally hot.

How about a windscreen heat protector, any ideas?

612 are alloy so while not ideal would probably be happy enough. As for the heat the reflective window things are pretty efficient-I have one on my 550 which won't head into storage until the autumn.

Hi Charly,

I've successfully used a Permabag (www.autopyjama.com)
It has two layers, a soft cover and an outer protective cover.
Plus the cylinders dehumidify.
Disadvantages are it's expensive and quite heavy to put on / off.
Also make sure you get one big enough to accommodate the 612 with space.
But it does work and really protects the car from the effects of the weather

Richbrook tailored covers are good value and are lightweight - which is helpfull if you are taking it off and on regularly
