A little harvesting.

Very, very wet track at Castle Combe today.
I changed into 5th at about 60-70mph on the pit straight to keep the power down, gently squeezed the throttle, rear broke left a tad, I dipped the clutch and gently steered into it, no help what so ever.
Car slid gracefully sideways, never span and was still sliding at 90 degrees from ideal as we plowed across the grass on the infield into a cornfield.
We ended up stationary not being able to see the track as the corn was higher then my vision!
Self recovered and then took out loads of corn from every orrafice .
That'll teach me!

I thought that is why you fitted a carbon sythe to the front!?
Combined combine harvester and snow plough.........when are you going to start manufacturing your special multi-use Chimaera splitters, Peter? They are looking more and more like a "must have" gadget every time you post a picture. Thanks for posting about this, by the way, credit to you for doing so. You know my views about wet track days, ever since my 3.5 revolution spin at Snetterton on a drying, but not dry, track last year. I got away with that one, more by luck than judgement. I am praying for dry weather next Friday, though I hopefully won't be having a "crack" at anything fibreglass, thank you Mr Poxon. Look forward to seeing you both there.
Bugger.
Please to see you have no lasting damage, just a PITA to get the corn residue off the paintwork.
Would have thought a light tar remover or similar from your local auto factors would be a better bet than clay bar initially, wouldn't that just help smear it around the panel more?

Possibly.
Just tried the clay bar, nothing.
Then a bit of neat Fairy, (wrist too limp )nothing.
Then Cif multi surface/degrease, nothing!
Still exactly the same.
I will never eat another bowl of cornflakes again!
Seriously, any sensible suggestions?
I have some engine degreaser, ..............

As a worst case, I'd use panel wipe, and re-wax/polish. Probably not the most ideal way to remove all the residue, but it will work.
That said, with the state of the paint on mine at the minute, I could probably burn it off, and as a whole, the car would look better
Yours is a work of art, hence I would use a tried and tested oil/tar remover, as this would be softer on the paint.
Fairy liquid may well be a good shout though. Haven't tried it before, but it does the job on the dishes for similar foodstuff's, and hey, if it doesn't work, at least your hands will be baby soft!!!

Look for a product called G850 cleaner Peter but keep it off your hands, its a trade de-greaser/cleaner use it neat on a soft cloth but dont saturate the area you can leave it to soak then wash off with warm water it wont harm the paint but will strip off any wax you had on there but you can deal with this after you get that st off its worth keeping in large quantities anyway because it will clean just about anything including fabrics it wont damage or discolor them either it will also remove oil from drives degrease engine etc I have used it for years its a real universal cleaner thats very powerful yet non harming apart from removing any oils in your hands http://www.valeterspride.co.uk/5-litre-g850-indust...
