Ok let's see who has the highest milage V8 TVR

Mine has just clocked a whopping 136000 4.0 and still pulls like a train :-)

Sold my 4.0 chim in 2004 with 126k on it. No idea if it still lives though...

Just coming up to 132K on my Chim. Going round shuttleworth and Millbrook I struggled to find any cars anywhere close

Well done Steve. Restores confidence in longevity of TVRs. With your engineering expertise, can you list any issues you have had during its running life and how you fixed them?
FFG should be along shortly. Done 150k plus I think since Clarkson drove it.

I would doubt it ? My 4.3 was destroyed at 67000 miles this 4.0 looks like it has had new heads and I am betting the cam was done at the same time (compression test shows all cylinders equal apart from 1 @3psi under but could have been the battery )
Just shows don't be put off by a high Mile'r my concerns would actually be a very low Mile'r

Around 240k. Last rebuild by Dom in 2003 when it was still owned by the factory.
Speedo was changed in 2002 with over 151k and then the MoT in Jan 03 was 31k!!!
Not sure if many Griffs have done 30k+ in less than one year

The next time I drive mine it will click over into the 30k's.

ETA Sorry, I've just twigged the point of this thread, very pleased to see what these cars can cover without major upset.
