I hope member can help locate my old ice blue 1984 lotus Turbo Esprit registration No A253ymr also a long lost friend's red 1984/5 registration LIB 881 Turbo Esprit.
The reason I'm asking is to find some photos of the one I had and in the case of my friend to see if I can trace him after 25 years?

A253YMR, untaxed since March 2007, MOT expired August 2007.

LIB881 Has a SORN marker against it.

What do you think the fate of my A253YMR is as it seems to have been off the road for the past 8 years?

SORN = Statutory Off Road Notification - i.e. it has been formally declared off the road to DVLA so someone probably has it in storage awaiting restoration.

As for the other one - no idea. The date of last tax & MOT is well after the SORN requirement came in so it seems to have fallen off the system. Possibly scrapped

Could just be sat in someone's collection but unused. I have a Merc that the last owner would get a similar result looking for, untaxed or MOT'd in nearly 15 years but tucked up safely and kept nice. Good luck with the search, maybe a dedicated Lotus forum might help you.
