still cant quite understand why plp are willing to buy high end / complicated cars at top prices when they cant get cars checked over or test drive . Also no warranty , if a dealer had the same conditions plp would go elsewhere.

I suspect that all the cars in a collection like that will be rather well looked after.........

There is a two year warranty on the Bugatti 300, plus all the spare tyres you'll need - which is reassuring.

Amazing collection of cars.

I'd take the F40LM for the occasional car and the Daytona Spyder for the everyday beater.

I'll have the Porsche 959, McLaren F1 LM, 300SL, both Veyrons, 250 LM, F40 LM and the 288 GTO.

My uncle, who is a former cabinet minister in Nigeria, has the money in his account but before he will release the funds I will need you to send me the sum of $5000 to cover administrative costs.

the odometer readings tell you all you need to know. the car is not being bought to fulfil its primary function, my friend.

Warranties, on cars that will never be driven again, LOL

This my friend is Car porn at the highest level, aka investment grade metal, brought by people who might never actually see the vehicles.

sad but not surprising that most of them have not been used at all. the best collection I have ever seen. Surprised he doesn't have a Zonda or a 250GTO!
must be £100m of cars there easily... incredible

The F50 for me please, thats some collection isn't it ?? Do we know who the owner of this collection is ?? Or do I just need to read the brochure rather than look at the pics.
How can someone justify and Enzo with just 179km's on it ? Would you not just want to drive the flipping thing frown

I know it's been said before and will be again, but it's just so sad to see some of those cars have 300-400 miles on them ONLY.

The SLR has 134 miles on it.

I drove 140 miles yesterday

I can only imagine what some of the coachbuilders, engine mechanics, aerodynamicists !!!!, brake designers must feel about their pride and joy and the fruit of their experience being bought, and then doing no miles at no thousand revs and experiencing no gees of cornering force.

sad.

but hey, who cares what I think.

It doesn't make sense to people on this forum, the vast majority of whom are enthusiasts for cars, bikes etc (if not owners). But, there are people out there who buy cars as investments, a concept alien to me but at the same time, it's not for me to judge. Then there are those who collect cars as works of automotive art, that they (not me, they) consider on a par with actual artworks. To such people, the thrill would be in owning the vehicles, admiring them - but not actually driving them. For me, a car is a functional object, designed firstly to be driven. If it's got great performance and looks good, so much the better - but ultimately, all cars are intended by their makers to be driven. To not do that seems to me a criminal waste of something's potential, but it's not my collection of cars being auctioned.

But, perhaps now this collection is being broken up, there's a good chance that at least some of the lots will find their way into the hands of more enthusiastic owners who'll actually drive them...Or they'll swap one air-conditioned warehouse for another!
