Aware this topic has been discussed in many vains. Was hoping to get into a 599 but prices - as with all non current Ferrari - have gone mad. Looking at LHD German cars and they are a fraction of the price with a much greater choice. Can anyone answer the following: - light changes and dials - cost on a 599? is insurance higher having a LHD car in the UK? Unlikely to take to Europe so no benefit in that regard so given I will be driving in the UK and this is a big car would you be put off? How easy are they to move on come resale time? Any other considerations? thanks

Well worth it. It will cost a fraction of buying a RHD in the UK.

Dials £80 and DIY job. Lights (not sure about the 599, but most have levers to make the lights legal for the UK.

Insurance isn't really much different.

Not too hard to sell in the UK in my opinion. Will never command the same value as a RHD car, but will be worth more than you paid for it in the original country.

We are bringing in a 360 spider at the moment from Italy.

I have recently brought three cars in from overseas, the most recent was from Germany which was simple as predicted, however it was not a Ferrari so I can only answer one of your questions which is that insuring a lhd car is not a problem, I would also advise using Adrian Flux to do this using the chassis number whilst DVLA mess around with the paperwork in an attempt to get you legal. Flux were the only company that made insurance simple and had no time limit on this process where others may only give you thirty days cover without a UK registration.

Good luck and get on the plane go buy it.
